About WorthaShot
Who are we?
Originally, the team of WorthaShot consisted of a corona-bored student who aimed to create a fun, simple and original drinking game to play with this friends.
After having an amazing time with his friends playing it for the first time, he got excited and wanted to provide the game to everyone, thus, WorthaShot was created.
Although, we are still far away from our goal, we are committed to reach it.
Why was WorthaShot created?
In fact, there are multiple reasons.
The first reason being that we wanted to create a fun, simple and original drinking game that could be played around the world.
Then we also wanted to challenge ourselves in creating a new level web application. We had never really created such a complex project from start to finish. This was our chance to learn while creating something for everyone.
Last but not least, if you want something to be done well, do it yourself! We couldn’t find many proper drinking games out there that are truly original and innovating.
Is WorthaShot just another drinking game app?
Simply put, no. We are a drinking games platform, but not just that either.
We're a mindset and a dream that's built on the right norms and values.
Our norms and values
Keep drinking responsibly
Although, we are very much behind the concept of drinking games. We don't support any form of binge drinking.
Drinking games can be played for fun, but the moment the drinking becomes more important than having fun with friends, it is probably time to stop.
Right now, we have ideas in the pipeline to warn users that are about to hit dangerous levels of drinking.
Data privacy
We respect the GDPR laws and make all data we can anonymous. We will also NEVER sell your data, this is not the way we want to be recognized by our community. We value your data and we only collect necessary data to improve our games experience, community, safety for our users etc.
No interruption of gameplay
We also need to pay for our expenses. However we will make sure not to interrupt your gameplay. Nothing is more annoying than having to wait for a video to finish playing while playing with friends, we know. This is why we would rather urge those of you that have something extra to buy the expansion.
We believe in innovation
We want to keep on innovating. It is not our main priority to release a game and not provide any future content. The future and its possibilities is what keeps the game interesting.
We will make sure to always go over your suggestions, listen to what the community wants and try to implement these.
Win-win relationships
No matter who we come in contact with, we want to create win-win relationships where we both come out on top. The world already has enough sad news and events.
Call us out on our bullshit
If at any point you notice that we stray away from our norms and values, feel free to call us out on our bullshit!

Help us grow by donating
Why in the hell would you donate to WorthaShot?
First of all, if you have any second guessing about our cause, then we prefer that you didn't donate.
That being said, what would we use the money for? To be brutally honest, we don't have any big costs yet and we probably won't have any for the next few months. However, we can always use money for further development. The first use of our money would be increasing the value of our company and finding stakeholders that want to join and be part of the organisation. We can't afford any payouts or wages just yet, so they would only have a share of the company instead.
Once development seems to be going smooth, we will probably use the money for marketing. Now marketing could be anything, and honestly, we don't have an idea yet what specifically we would spend money on, but there's lot of tools out there that could help us understand on how to grow our community. Once we are in this stage we will also stop accepting donations since it would, in our vision, be wrong to still accept donations of people that are willing to help.
From there on, we should be able to stand on our own feet. However, if for some reason the whole project would fail, which we sincerely doubt, then you can always offer to take over the website or enjoy the version that is still online.
If you do plan on donating, then we always appreciate some feedback or how you would like your money to be spent. If you truelly want, we will keep you up to date on how your money has been spent as well.
