Localstorage

A "localstorage entry" is a small data file that is temporarily placed by an internet page on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. It allows us to storage some information about how you use the application on your browser. However, we do NOT see this information on our servers. It is only used to remember your session data and stored on your device (unless said otherwise).

Some of this information we might sync this to our server in the future, but we will let you know before we do.

The following localstorage entries are stored:

  • was-drinkingAge: whether or not you are of drinking age. Used to show/hide the content warning upon first arrival.
  • was-preferredLanguage: upon changing language, we will store your preffered language in your browser.
  • was-hideLanguageNotice: if chosen a non-English language, a warning will show that other languages are not that well supported. Upon dismissing/closing this warning, we will take of this so that we don't have to show you this warning again.
  • was-clickedOnDismiss: for our PWA (aka WorthaShot) we show a download option, unless already dismissed or installed.
  • was-clickedOnInstall: for our PWA (aka WorthaShot) we show a download option, unless already dismissed or installed.
  • was-user: after logging in, we store your token in here. This way you don't have to constantly log in for each authorized resource request.
  • was-acceptedCookies: whether or not you accepted cookies.
  • was-amount-of-feedback-entries: how many times you've contacted us. In the future, we might sync this to our server, but we will let you know before we do.
  • was-subscribed-to-newsletter: whether or you've subscribed to our newsletter or not. Ofcourse, this is also stored on our servers, otherwise we cannot send you mails.
  • was-ss-muted: whether or not you've muted sounds and music.
  • was-ss-music-enabled: whether or not you've enabled or disabled music.
  • was-ss-sounds-enabled: whether or not you've enabled or disabled sounds.
  • was-ss-volume: the preferred volume.
  • was-timline-travels-game: the Timeline Travels game you played (after having saved locally). This does not occur automatically, only upon clicking the save button(s).
